If companies were allowed to engage high school or collegiate football players in ad campaigns, the good people from All-State would be sending a team of creative folks to Bradenton, Fla. to meet with Emmanuel Greene. Not only is he one of the nation’s top wide receiver prospects, he’s proven that he fits perfectly with the company’s “The Good Hands People,” slogan. If nothing else, Greene has very, very good hands.
That was never more clear than in it’s recent 42-0 shutout of fellow Florida school Southern Lab, where Greene went airborne with a huge, outstretched paw when he cut across the middle. The pass was delivered right to him, with Greene coming down with the ball and racing deep into the red zone before he was finally brought down.
One can almost forgive the Southern Lab defense for overlooking Greene on the play. After all, it seemed completely implausible that he might actually catch the high ball thrown by top quarterback prospect Shea Patterson.
He caught it alright, and he may have given fans of Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson or another major collegiate program plenty to be excited about in the years ahead, now that they know what they will have in store. Then again, maybe they already knew that based on the video below …
