What is Get In The Ring?

Get in the Ring is a pitching competition for start-ups to prove that they have the biggest potential to take the world by storm. The competition takes place in 80 countries throughout the world. Promising start-ups make their pitches inside an actual ring and compete under three different weight classes. Pitches are called “live battles” where two representatives from two start-ups face off, inside a boxing ring, in 5 rounds timed at 30 seconds each.

The five rounds comprise of different categories which are taken into account when the start-ups are being marked by the judges. The five categories are team, achievements, business model and market, financials and investment proposition, and freestyle. Participants are also given a minute to tell all about their start up and introduce themselves.

Only start-ups with high potential and ability to impact the industry are eligible to take part in the competition. Start-ups which are at most 8 years old and fit into either Lightweight, Middleweight or Heavyweight valuation categories can take part in the competition. Start-up representatives are required to make their pitches in English.
