Wooster has withstood many challenges, but has emerged unscathed in this boys soccer season.
The Colts are 16-0 and are the top seed from the Sierra League as the Northern Division I boys soccer Regionals begin Tuesday. They are also the No. ranked team in the state.
But Wooster was very last year also, then lost in the semifinals to eventual champion North Valleys. North Valleys (12-3-) is the top seed from the High Desert League.
Wooster will host McQueen (5-7-4) at 3 p.m. Tuesday. McQueen had a couple of bad breaks or could have been as high as the second seed. The Lancers were leading Reno last Wednesday when the game was rained out and called a tie.
Wooster beat McQueen, 8-0, in mid-September.
Also Tuesday, Galena (9-3-4) will be at Hug (7-6-3) at p.m., Douglas (5-7-4) is at North Valleys (12-3-1) and Spanish Springs (5-6-5) is at Carson (12-3-1).
