Kash Daniel has wanted to be a U.S. Army All-American “ever since I saw the game with my own two eyes in San Antonio in eighth grade,” he says.
Daniel, a four-star inside linebacker, was officially presented with his honorary jersey Tuesday when the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to Paintsville (Ky.) High.

“It’s a dream come true,” he said. “(Seeing the game) was one of those moments where it was like, I know it’s going to be hard but I’m going to work my butt off to get to that place and be an Army All-American. All the hard work … it’s finally paid off.
“I can’t thank my teammates and the coaching staff enough because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
Daniel is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the state of Kentucky and the two players ranked ahead of him offensive tackle Landon Young and center Drake Jackson are also Army All-Americans. All three are committed to the University of Kentucky and the trio was together for Young’s jersey presentation on Monday.
