Here’s the show-stopping, juggling touchdown catch of the year, courtesy Northeastern High in Manchester, Penn.
Facing off against Spring Grove, Northeastern wide receiver David Ankey III ran an out route which eventually hooked back across the middle. His quarterback lofted a pass right across the middle of the field, but the wind got under it and forced it to soar long.
Instead of giving up on the play, Ankey’s defender extended and got his hands to the ball, deflected it up and watched as Ankey ran back under it. Right in stride, and in perfect rhythm to the end zone.
The touchdown was just one of a handful of impressive plays turned in by Northeastern’s offensive stars in a 30-0 victory. As you might expect, it was the play of the game, with authority.
