Three local girls soccer players have been selected to play in the All-American game in December.
Curtis forward Morgan Weaver and Seattle’s Prep midfielders Sam Hiatt and Jalen Woodward will play on the West team.
Weaver leads the region in scoring. The Washington State commit has racked up 32 goals and 13 assists in 14 games this year. Woodward, a USC commit, leads Prep with 10 assists and eight goals. Boston College-bound Hiatt is also a member of the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team, and has divided her time between the national team and the Panthers this season.
The All-American game features 80 of the nation’s top girls soccer players and will kick-off Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. in Raleigh, N.C. The game is the same weekend as the NCAA Women’s College Cup. Players will attend the NCAA semifinals Dec. 4 and the final Dec. 6.
Two area head girls soccer coaches have also been selected to participate. Issaquah’s Tom Bunnell and Skyline’s Don Braman are two of the game’s six coaches.
