Shelby Zomermaan had 11 kills and Ellie Voss eight as Sioux Falls Christian (24-4) swept Lennox 25-11, 25-14, 25-11 on Monday night in Lennox. Ashley Lamfers added seven kills and five digs, while Emily Strasser had eight digs. Amy Hurley had 28 set assists and seven aces. For Lennox (6-14), Rachel Jensen had four kills. Callie Luke had eight digs.

Yankton def. Washington 22-25, 25-22, 27-25, 19-25, 15-10 in Yankton – Becky Frick led the way for Yankton, totaling 14 kills and six assisted blocks. Sophie Drotzmann added 13 kills, while Cameryn Specht finished the match with 20 assists and five kills. No stats were available for Washington.

Sioux Valley def. Garretson 25-8, 25-18, 25-13 in Volga – Carley Peterson had 12 kills and four digs to helped Sioux Valley win in a sweep. Jessica Pepperman had eight kills and 11 digs. She also had three aces. Tiffany Bjorklund had 10 digs. For Garretson, Lara Luke had five kills and Emily Schleuter 17 digs.

Dakota Valley def. Tea 25-22, 25-7, 25-12 in Tea – Hanna Cummins had 24 assists and one ace and Meredith Lammers had nine kills, 13 digs and three blocks to lead Dakota Valley (24-4). Anne McCabe added seven kills, two blocks and two aces. For Tea, Sidney Claberg had 13 assists, Cari Hansen had six kills, eight digs and two aces. Amanda Carlson added nine digs and two blocks.

Pierre def. Mitchell 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-13 in Pierre – Sammi Claussen had 11 kills and Kallie Stout 15 digs for Pierre. For Mitchell, Haley Burdick had nine kills. Lauren Larson had 20 digs.

Scotland def. Menno 25-9, 25-20, 13-25, 27-25 in Scotland – Taylor Bietz had 24 set assists and 12 digs to lead Scotland (9-18). Elyssa Walloch and Kayla Rokusek had 13 kills. Shannon Fanning had 12 digs. For Menno (10-12), Tara Spencer had 10 kills and 17 digs with four blocks. Courtnee Edelman had 20 digs. Ashton Vaith had 14 digs.

Parker def. Howard 25-12, 25-12, 25-12 in Parker – Alexis Olson had 15 digs and Makenzie Dean 34 assists with 11 digs and two aces to lead Parker )23-5) . Contessa Harold had 12 kills and Gabby Herlyn nine.

Baltic def. Flandreau 25-13, 25-21, 25-14 in Flandreau – Maddie Polzin had 19 kills, 14 digs and two blocks to lead Baltic. Rachel Aberson added eight kills and four blocks and Maddy Roberts 11 digs. For Flandreau, Hannah Williams had 12 kills and seven blocks.

Hanson def. McCook Central/Montrose 25-17, 25-22, 25-22 in Alexandria – Kynedi Cheeseman had 24 kills and 13 digs to lead Hanson. Hanna Marquadt had 28 digs and Ashley Moe eight kills. For MCM, Morgan Koepsell had nine kills and four blocks. Morgan Sechser had 14 digs.

Chester def. Arlington 26-16, 25-15, 25-12 in Chester – Jenna Reiff had 15 kills and three aces to lead Chester. Sam Ordal had 15 kills and Molly Heyn 24 digs .For Arlington, McKenzie Mix had 19 digs and Bailee Steffensen nine kills. Jade Gallagher added nine.

Canistota def. Freeman 25-5, 25-22, 18-25, 25-19 in Freeman – Josie Furhman had 18 digs and eight assists and Lacey Wipf had 21 digs and seven kills to lead Freeman. Dayna Roth had 14 digs and eight kills and Karlie Maske 12 digs and 13 kills. For Canistota, Kalli Ortman had 20 kills.


VOLLEYBALL: After knocking off the number two team in the nation and recording a 3-0 record last week, SMSU moved up a spot to No. 4 in the latest Division II Top 25 Poll. Augustana is 20th.
