Kickapoo cross country
The senior won first place in the Class 4 District 5 championship race at Lebanon by completing the 3.1-mile course in 15:43. Hall looks to repeat as sectional champion Saturday at Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton on a course affectionately known as “the Farm.” Hall placed ninth at the 2014 state championship race in Jefferson City and looks for a better finish Nov. 7 at the state meet.
Friday night, Huston went 33-of-41 passing for 472 yards and nine passing touchdowns. Huston also rushed for a touchdown in a 76-48 district playoff win against Central. The sophomore has rewritten the record books for quarterbacks; his season total of 5,108 passing yards appears to break a record set in 2005. Huston and the Falcons (4-6) visit Republic (5-4) Friday night in the second round of the Class 5 playoffs.
Sater passed for 32 assists in Ozark’s 2-1 win over Willard Saturday night in the playoff quarterfinals. The lefty committed to UMKC chipped in six kills to propel Ozark to its seventh consecutive appearance in the state final four.
