Playoff times have been set for high school boys soccer teams and the schedule includes a local double-header.
No. 14 Fort Collins will play No. 19 Denver East at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fossil Ridge in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs.
That will be followed with an 8 p.m. game between No. 15 Fossil Ridge and No. 18 Ralston Valley.
No. 17 Rocky Mountain will play at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at No. 16 Rangeview.
In 3A, undefeated and No. 2 Liberty Common will host No. 31 Bruce Randolph in the first round at 4 p.m. Friday. The winner will play in the second round at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fossil Ridge against the winner of Friday’s first-round game between No. 15 Denver Christian and No. 18 Coal Ridge.
Wild card points update: Through eight weeks of play, all local football teams are in the playoff picture.
In 5A, Rocky Mountain is 18th in wild card points, used to determine the 32-team playoff field. The Lobos dropped two spots after beating winless Mountain Range.
Fossil Ridge is 23rd and Poudre is 30th. This is the final week of the regular season in 5A.
In 4A, Windsor is fifth and Fort Collins is 14th. Sixteen teams make the 4A playoffs. There are two weeks left in the regular season in 4A. Wild card points aren’t used in 1A, but Resurrection Christian (8-0) has already clinched a conference title entering the final week of the regular season.
