The Class C bracket opens up play tomorrow with two quarterfinal games. I went 16 for 20 in my Class AA, A and B first round predictions on Saturday, and I’m 20 for 25 overall so far. I plan to be at Keio to watch them take on Solomon Schechter, follow me on Twitter for updates on that game.
No. 3 Solomon Schechter at No. 6 Keio, 3 p.m.
These two teams met on October 12th, with Solomon Schechter winning by an 8-3 score. With a good offensive core, which includes Lulu Wein, Eden Gilbert and eighth-grader Reese Cohen, I think Schechter will come away with another win.
No. 5 Hamilton at No. 4 North Salem, 3 p.m.
Hamilton has been a great story this year, finishing 5-11 in their first varsity season. That is very different from a very experienced North Salem program, which competed in a deep Class B field last year. The fourth-seeded Tigers are the biggest competition to Haldane’s Class C dominance, and I think they’ll win this one to set up a showdown with top-seeded Haldane in the semifinals.
