The Chartiers Valley Cross Country Team is a very successful program and has been for the past couple years. All because of the hard work and dedication the team and head coach, Lori Poe, put into the team, and, of course, their running. Not many teams put in the effort and hard work that this team does. Also this team has the will and heart to do their best at every meet and to dominate the other team. An example of this team’s dedication and hard work is how every person on the team day after day comes to practice even though the workouts are excruciating. These workouts are so difficult, not many people in CV would even last the first 5 minutes of the practice. Most people wouldn’t even be able to do their warm up, that’s how hard these workouts are. In addition, every kid on the team goes through this pain and misery every day for the love of the sport and the will and heart to be the best and do big things, while accomplishing their goals. This season the Chartiers Valley Cross Country Team set many goals for themselves. For example, a goal for the boys team was to win the section and beat Mt. Lebanon, the top team for the past couple of years, and they accomplished both goals. The boys are also in competition for a WPIAL and state title. Junior Brad Cromer states “our hard work and dedication has paid off because we set goals and accomplished them.” The Chartiers Valley Cross Country team is dedicated and hardworking and all their sacrifices have paid off.
