Katelyn Walsh won the 200-yard individual medley (1:02.91) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.74) to lead Arlington High School to first place in the Section 1 League 1 girls swimming and diving championships at Peekskill Middle School on Saturday.

The Admirals finished ahead of Our Lady of Lourdes, 460-373, to win an eighth straight league title.

Walsh, Ina Elcott and Rebecca Baione each had state qualifying times. Emily Tang, Baione, Elcott, Selin Karadeniz and Patton Dyal each qualified for the Section 1 tournament.

“It’s been an amazing run,” Admirals coach Ron Terwilliger said. “The girls swam extremely well. They were ready for the meet. We had enough girls in scoring position, so it was our depth that really won it for us today. I’m very proud of the team.”
