Spartanburg, S.C., quarterback Austin Scott tied the state record with nine touchdown passes Friday night in a 76-34 defeat of Wade Hampton (Greenville).
Scott completed 37 of 47 passes for 686 yards, with three touchdown passes to Tavaris Scott, two to Tavien Feaster and Eric Rice and single touchdown passes to Kez Gilliam and Marsailis Wilson. Scott’s 37 completions was good enough for No. 2 on the state’s all-time list.
