Friday, Oct. 23 –

Class A quarterfinals

Rye 35, Hen Hud 16: At No. 1 Rye, Jamie Clark had 14 carries for 96 yards and Chase Pratt, Billy Chabot Mat Bruno and Brett Egan each had rushing touchdowns. T.J. Lavelle finished 5 for 10 for 87 yards and threw a 46-yard touchdown to Egan.

Class B quarterfinals

Putnam Valley 20, Pleasantville 3: At Parkway Field in Pleasantville, Joe Spinola returned a strip-sack 30 yards for a touchdown and also caught a 12-yard touchdown from Zack Girvalo for the fifth-seeded Tigers. Mike Dellabate also rushed for a touchdown. Sophomore Mike Gaitan had an interception for Putnam Valley, which also beat No. 4 Pleasantville 18-13 on Oct. 10.

Non-playoff games

Sleepy Hollow 35, Ossining 14: At Sleepy Hollow, the Headless Horsemen won the first night game in program history. Paul Bloshuk Jr. threw four touchdown passes and Mike Lopez rushed for over 100 yards. Sleepy is now 22-18-2 all-time against Ossining and has won the last four meetings in the series. Shamar Holebrook led Ossining with 16 carries for 72 yards and rushed for a touchdown. Mekhi Knox rushed for Ossining’s other score.

Valhalla 51, Roosevelt 8: At Valhalla, Mike Ferrara had 165 yards rushing and two touchdowns and also returned an interception for a touchdown. Ferrara, a sophomore, now has 937 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns. Matt Garcia added 87 yards rushing, 65 yards receiving and had a pair of scores as the Vikings improved to 7-1. They will host Yonkers Montessori at 7 p.m. next Friday.
