Former Central High School receiver Keenan Cole turned in a memorable performance for Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, snapping four single-game program records in a 49-22 win over Louisiana College.
The 6-2, 175-pound junior totaled 319 all-purpose yards – 278 receiving – with five touchdown catches, all marking single-game program highs. He also tied the record for points scored with 30. Cole had eight receptions in all, averaging 34.75 yards per grab, to go along with 41 kick-return yards.
The Louisville native posted 1,577 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns a season ago, both single-season program records. Cole, who also runs track and field for the Panthers, was named an All-Super Region Four second team selection by Beyond Sports Network in 2014.
