Cathedral guard Eron Gordon completed the second of his official visits on Thursday after a trip to Seton Hall.
Gordon, a 6-2 guard who is ranked No. 114 nationally in the 2016 class by 247sports, has previously taken an official visit to Nevada and has an official visit scheduled for Memphis next weekend.
Seton Hall, a member of the Big East Conference, was 16-15 last season under sixth-year coach Kevin Willard. Gordon is considered one of the top candidates for IndyStar Mr. Basketball heading into his senior season at Cathedral. He averaged 24.5 points and 4.8 rebounds as a junior for the Irish.
• North Central’s Kris Wilkes (2017) is among the biggest in-state names planning to attend Indiana’s “Hoosier Hysteria” event on Saturday. Wilkes, a 6-8 forward, is ranked No. 10 nationally by Rivals. He has offers from Butler, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Xavier. He visited Kentucky last week for its “Big Blue Madness” event.
Southport’s Paul Scruggs, another top 2017 prospect, has a sectional football game on Saturday and will not attend. Logansport’s Jalen Adaway, who has offers from Ball State, Evansville, IUPUI, Kent State and New Orleans, is planning to attend, as is Fort Wayne Snider’s Malik Williams(offers from Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Xavier and others).
Keion Brooks (Fort Wayne North Side), John Michael Mulloy (Carmel), Brandon Vernon (Pike), Noah Smith (HSE) and Aaron Etherington (HSE) are 2019 players scheduled to attend.
• Butler had an unofficial visit from Austin Boucher, a 6-2 guard from Fort Wayne South Side, on Thursday. Boucher is considered one of the top 2018 players in the state.
• Musa Jallow, another 2018 in-state standout from Bloomington North, took unofficial visits earlier this month to Virginia and Michigan. The 6-4 Jallow has offers from IUPUI and Toledo.
