A group of armed dacoits broke into a house in Wada Partni village, near Rohri, looted cash and gold ornaments and set the house on fire before fleeing.
House owner Riaz Ahmed Baloch and his family were inside the house when the robbers barged in. As Baloch put up resistance, the armed dacoits tied him to a chair, shaved his head, eyebrows and moustache.
They stole Rs0.5 million in cash, gold ornaments and a licensed pistol and then torched the house before they fled under the cover of fire. Hearing the gunshots, the villagers rushed to the scene to help put out the fire.
The firefighters reached the area after some time and managed to control the blaze.
Baloch has registered a FIR against four suspects, including Abdul Wahab Janwri and Abdul Razzaq Janwri. Wada Patni police have arrested two suspects but refused to disclose their names.
The police said that reason behind the attack was a land dispute between Baloch and Janwri clans.
