Lakeland High (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) moved up to No. 3 in the USA TODAY High School Sports/MAXFieldHockey.com Super 25 rankings, the highest Lakeland has been ranked this season.
Lakeland moved ahead of unbeaten Watertown (Mass.) on the heels of a 6-0 victory against then-No. 13 Darien (Conn.), the defending Class L state champion. The score was 1-0 at halftime before Lakeland poured it in the second half to hand Darien its first loss of the season (11-1). Dana Bozek had three goals and Brianna Muniz added two.

Eastern (Voorhees, N.J.) remained No. 1 and is now 16-0. Eastern, which has won 122 consecutive victories, needed to make a late comeback for a 3-2 victory against Washington Township. Alanna Gollotto got the game-winner with just 3:36 left to play.
Penn Manor (Millersville, Pa.) stayed No. 2 and is 17-0.
Watertown tied the record for the nation’s all-time unbeaten streak with a 5-0 win against Wilmington High School and can break Eastern’s record with a victory Wednesday against Melrose. Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, Pa.) remained at No. 5.
Two newcomers reached the Super 25: No. 22 Garden City (N.Y.) and No. 24 Rye (N.Y.). (both from NY).
Archbishop Spalding High (Severn, Md.) and Darien dropped out this week.
