The opening round of the high school football playoffs could feature a number of rematches.
Snooze2you.com has been formulating bracketology for the state postseason for several weeks and the projections heading into the final week of the regular season have several matchups between league rivals.
Projected rematches include CAAC Blue rivals Holt and Grand Ledge meeting for a second consecutive week in Division 1 and an all CAAC Red Division 3 district with Haslett traveling to DeWitt and St. Johns hosting Mason. The projections also have TVC Central rivals Ovid-Elsie and Freeland playing again and another matchup between Portland and Olivet.
Snooze2you has 22 mid-Michigan teams in its projected playoff field and 16 of those having already reached the necessary six wins to automatically qualify for the postseason. Holt, Haslett, Olivet, Alma, Laingsburg and Carson City-Crystal still need a win to automatically reach the playoffs.
