CANTON – Brooklyn Allen’s athleticism knows no bounds.
So when it came time for her to commit, it wasn’t just a matter of which college but which sport.
The Pisgah senior has decided to play basketball at the next level for Appalachian State.
“The sky is the limit for her,” Black Bears coach Brandon Holloway said.
“Brooklyn is well-rounded, a gifted person both academically and athletically. She is going to a place where we feel like it will be a good fit. And we think she will have the opportunity to go in and contribute right away.”
As a junior, Allen was named the Co-Western North Carolina Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a Citizen-Times All-WNC selection after averaging 22.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.1 assists per game. She scored her 1,000th career point in December 2014 and went on to lead the Black Bears to a 24-2 WNCAC championship season.
