Jacob Eason turned heads when the Washington native pledged to play his collegiate football at Georgia as opposed to a traditional West Coast power or a school like Washington or Oregon in the Pacific Northwest. Despite what one might assume, that has hardly dimmed enthusiasm for the quarterback. That includes among the more famous natives of the Pacific Northwest, actor Chris Pratt among them.
As noted by the 247 Sports, Pratt offered up a celebrity shout out for Easton on Sunday, celebrating the Lake Stevens star by Tweeting out one of Eason’s highlight reels with a striking personal endorsement.
There’s a pretty direct reason why Pratt would take notice of Eason’s success: The two share a high school alma mater, or at least a future alma mater in Eason’s case. Pratt is a 1997 graduate of Lake Stevens High School in suburban Seattle; Eason is scheduled to graduate in 2015.
Of course, with Eason’s talent it would be understandable for Pratt to take notice of his passing prowess alone. If anything, their shared heritage ensured the comment hit home for Eason.
“I thought it was awesome!” Eason told 247 Sports. “A guy of that caliber supporting his home town shows a lot.”
