Bossier City’s George Fauber Sr., 78, tallied the highest score Prep Fantasy Football score (174.65) of the year, but still had to survive a tiebreaker to collect the Week 7 victory.
Fauber and Many’s George Koss matched potent lineups, but Fauber’s predicted 52 points to be scored in the Airline-Haughton game, while Koss chose 50. Airline defeated Haughton, 37-21.
Fauber’s earns a $32 visa gift card, a pie from Strawn’s and an automatic entry into “The 32,” the Prep Fantasy Football Playoffs. Fauber is known to eat at the Strawn’s location in Bossier City five times per week.
Fauber will be one of 32 participants eligible to win the $500 gift certificate to Strawn’s in the postseason.
Koss earns a pie with his runner-up finish.
Fauber and Koss used a lineup of Woodlawn quarterback Treveion Youngblood (38.65 points), running backs Devin White (North Webster, 40.7) and Shun’Cee Thomas (Airline, 33) and receivers Keldrick Carper (Plain Dealing, 45.4) and C.J. Morgan (Parkway, 6.9). Both earned 10 points by predicting Airline to defeat Haughton.
Seven participants tied for third place 4.4 points behind the top duo.

The Prep Fantasy Football postseason bracket (The 32) will contain the 10 regular-season weekly winners and the highest cumulative totals for the season.
A ballot consists of one quarterback, two running backs, two receivers and one team. Points are awarded for touchdowns (six), rushing yards (one point per 10), receiving yards (one point per 10) and 2-point conversions (two). A team victory is worth 10 points.
