FC spokesperson says foreign currency worth over Rs6.5 billion recovered from suspects
KHYBER AGENCY/ PESHAWAR: Frontier Corps claimed on Saturday to have arrested 18 suspected militants from various parts of Khyber Agency.
“Security forces successfully retrieved foreign currency, including US dollars, Qatari Riyals and Saudi Riyals, worth over Rs6.5 billion from the suspects,” a FC spokesperson told The Express Tribune.

Further, the spokesperson said, “2,500 grams of gold along with 1,500 grams of silver was recovered during the raids, which was being supplied to terrorist networks across the country.”
In a separate incident, a raid was carried out by the Shaheen Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Police, during which four members of the banned Hizbul Tahrir were apprehended from Hassan Garhi area of Peshawar city. According to police officials, the accused were distributing literature for the banned outfit.

“Unlicensed pistols and several rounds of bullets were recovered from the men along with a large number of pamphlets,” police officials said in a statement.
