Quarterback Dean Rotger was 19 for 25 for 220 yards, including a touchdown pass to lead the host Our Lady of Lourdes High School football team in a 35-14 win over Pearl River on Friday.
“It was a battle in the first half,” said Lourdes coach Brian Walsh.
Moments before halftime, Rotger completed seven passes on a “big drive,” and Billy Ricardi scored to lead the Lourdes into the half with a 14-7 lead.
Ricardi finished with 15 rushes for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
“In the second half we really settled down and played great defense,” said Walsh. “We made some big plays and it really hurt them.”
Luke Timm recorded eight receptions for 96 yards, including a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Billy Wagner had nine receptions for 95 yards and a rushing touchdown on a 4-yard run.
Curt Jorgensen went 5 for 5 in kicking extra points.
Lourdes improved to 5-2.
