Rashid said the message of Quran is to promote truth, harmony and love, and ensure peaceful co-existence
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Friday underlined the need for spreading the teachings of the Holy Quran to ensure peaceful co-existence in the society.
Addressing participants of the launching ceremony of Arabic edition of ‘Mazameen-i-Quran-i-Hakim’ (Subjects of the Holy Quran) he said the message of Quran is to promote truth, harmony and love, and ensure peaceful co-existence.
“There is dire need for spreading the message of Quran. We should understand its teachings and pass on the same to others intrue spirit,” he added.
He said Islam is the religion of peace and brotherhood and does not allow anyone to take lives of innocent people. “Our religion guides us to protect lives of others. It does not allow anyone to attack religious places and kill innocent people,” he added.
Pervaiz Rashid said the Holy Quran stresses on its readers and followers to seek knowledge and dominate the world through education. He said the Holy Book provides guidance for every aspect of life.
The minister appreciated efforts of Chairman Nazriya Pakistan Council Zahid Malik, who compiled the Arabic edition of the book, declaring it an “asset” for not only the country but also for the Ummah.
