Chris Roussell converted a 27-yard field goal in overtime to lift Manual to a come-from-behind 24-21 victory over host Pleasure Ridge Park.
The Crimsons (7-1, 2-1 Class 6-A, District 3) trailed 21-13 with 3:20 left and had the ball at their 5-yard line. But they needed just eight plays and a little over two minutes to pull even as quarterback Tim Comstock ran it in from seven yards out to make it 21-19. He then hit Eric Niemann for the two-point conversion to tie the game with 1:13 left in overtime.
After Manual went up on its possession, PRP had a chance to win the game on its possession, but two plays for negative yardage and a false start penalty set up a 4th and goal from the 25. Donyell Bronaugh’s pass to the endzone was broken up by Comstock to end the game.
