Three more Western North Carolina football players reached the 1,000-yard mark in an offensive category on Friday night.
Cherokee sophomore Tye Mintz (1,073 yards) hit the benchmark in passing, while the area’s newest 1,000-yard rushers are Pisgah senior Daniel VanVaerenbergh (1,106 yards) and Rosman senior Gage Orr (1,060).
In all, there are now 16 WNC players who have passed or rushed for more than 1,000 yards this season:
