Hami Kang had 16 digs, 10 kills and seven service aces to lead host Arlington High School girls volleyball team in a 25-19, 29-27, 25-13 win over Carmel on Wednesday.
Kira Payman added 10 kills and eight digs and Rachael Torella had 18 assists, five kills, two digs and two service aces for the Admirals (9-3).
Alyssa Connell had 11 assists and nine digs, Erin Mahoney had five kills and Samantha Kops had 22 digs.
Arlington visits rival John Jay at 4:15 p.m. Friday in a game that could determine the league title.
John Jay 3, Roy C. Ketcham 0 — Kirsten Zier had six kills and six digs to lead visiting John Jay to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-18 win. Alyssa Ashley added six assists and Samantha Fitzgerald had four digs, two blocks, two kills and two aces for the Patriots (11-4).
“I think we’re ready and we’ve looked very good lately,” Patriots coach Maria Mahoney said of her team’s upcoming showdown with Ketcham. “If we play the way we have been, we’ll do well. It’s a very exciting time and everyone is pumped up for Friday.”
Pawling 3, North Salem 0 — Jaclyn Smith had 18 kills to lead host Pawling to a 25-11, 25-15, 25-8 win. Clara Lombardo added 24 assists and six aces, Emma Heubel had five kills and Marissa Foster had five aces for Pawling (9-3).
Lakeland 3, Our Lady of Lourdes 1 — Grace Rappleyea had five kills, six digs and three blocks for visiting Lourdes in a 25-20, 19-25, 14-25, 12-25 loss. Ceara Giametta added 15 digs and 15 assists, and Noelle Penacchia had 10 digs for Lourdes (2-12).
Dover 3, Saugerties 1 — Taylor Ball had one ace, 21 service points, nine assists, five kills and two blocks in the host Dragons’ 25-21, 16-25, 25-17, 25-21 win. Mackenzie Winsker added three service points, seven kills, three blocks and one dig.
Audra Rappaport (one ace, two service points, two assists, one kill, 11 digs) and Ariana Ball (seven service points, nine assists, six kills, three blocks, four digs) also contributed.
