BC Central (3-4) at Portage Northern (3-4), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Portage Northern is coming out of the tough part of its schedule with two straight losses to the top teams in the SMAC West – Stevensville-Lakeshore and Portage Central. Both teams in this contest are in must-win situations as it is still possible to make the playoffs with a 5-4 record, if you get enough computer points at the end of the year. Joe Brown gives the Huskies a strong running game and will be the focus of the Bearcat defense.
Great Gridder: Cyntell Williams exploded for a 71-yard TD to start the game last week
Harper Creek (3-4) at Marshall (6-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Since losing a 9-7 decision to state-ranked and undefeated Coldwater, Marshall has won five straight and is playing some of the best football in the area. Forrest Jackson continues to shine for the Redhawks with three touchdowns last week in one-sided 49-0 win over Jackson Northwest last week. Harper Creek has beaten Marshall five straight seasons.
Great Gridder: A.J. Mitchell scored a late touchdown for Beavers in loss to Coldwater
Lakeview (5-2) at St. Joseph (6-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: The only loss for St. Joseph this season has been to Stevensville-Lakeshore, however the Bears have the toughest part of their schedule still ahead with this game against Lakeview and next week against undefeated Portage Central. St. Joseph quarterback Griffin Beaudette is a threat to run in the Bears’ ground-oriented offense. The Spartans beat St. Joseph, 35-0, last year.

Pennfield (3-4) vs. Jackson Lumen Christi (5-2), 7 p.m. Friday
: Lumen Christi had a rare two-game losing streak, but bounced back for a 12-7 win over Parma Western last week for the program’s 400
th win all-time. The Titans went undefeated in league play last year and was the champs in the inaugural season of the I-8. These two teams often met in the playoffs before joining the same league and the Titans have a 5-game winning streak against Pennfield.
Great Gridder: Justin Lamb had a TD and led the team in tackles in win
St. Philip (7-0) at Portland St. Patrick (6-1), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: No. 3 St. Philip clinched the Southern Michigan 8-Man Football Conference with win last week over then-undefeated Waldron. The Tigers are facing their toughest competition at the end of the year and face a 6-1 Portland St. Patrick team, that’s only loss came to Waldron. St. Philip beat the Shamrocks last year, 48-0.
