The Liberty Common High School boys soccer team won its 10th straight game on Tuesday, shutting out Front Range Christian 4-0 at home.
Michael Yeh scored twice for the Eagles, who are ranked No. 3 in Class 3A in the latest CHSAA poll.
Michael Hofinger added one goal and one assist, Paul Boehner had one goal and Aidan Allen was credited with an assist.
Liberty Common has posted five shutouts this season and is outscoring its opponents 66-12.
The Eagles improve to 11-0-1 overall, 5-0 in Region 7 play. They will next play Heritage Christian at home in a crosstown matchup at 4 p.m. Thursday.
HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 9, DENVER ACADEMY 1 – Caleb Wickstrom scored five goals in the Eagles’ win on the road.
Michael Davidson also notched a hat trick with three goals and two assists while Branden Lesondak scored one goal and contributed one assist.
Heritage Christian has won three straight games and improves to 8-3, 4-0 Region 7.
FOSSIL RIDGE 5 LOVELAND 0 – Crey Gonzales put past two goals in the SaberCats’ win at home.
Jaime Soto, Tyler Hause and Dominic Gibson each added one goal. Grant Martinez was credited with two assists while Gibson, Logan Wood and Tyler Rudroff contributed one apiece.
Fossil Ridge improves to 6-4-2, 4-4 in Front Range League play.
TRI-VALLEY CONFERENCE MEET – The Windsor girls finished third and its boys team took seventh among eight teams competing at Holy Family High School.
Tori Thomas led the girls team in 20 minutes, 21 seconds, placing fourth among 110 runners.
Baillie Fetzer was seventh in 21:03 and Morgan Hykes placed 10th in 21:19.
The Windsor boys were led by Cale Englert, who finished third overall among 124 runners in 17:11.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 3, GREELEY WEST 0 – The Lobos won their seventh straight match in a 25-14, 25-14, 25-11 sweep on the road.
Macie Linne led with 10 kills while Taira Cottingham and Catherine Beard added nine and eight, respectively. Emiley Larson recorded 15 digs.
Rocky Mountain is ranked No. 10 in 5A and improves to 13-2, 9-0 FRL.
RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN 3, DENVER CHRISTIAN 0 – The No. 1 Cougars (2A) won their third consecutive match in a 25-18, 25-14, 25-16 sweep on the road.
No individual statistics were reported. RCS improves to 14-1, 9-0 in District 7 play.
HERITAGE CHRISTIAN 3, TWIN PEAKS 0 – Savannah Smith had 20 assists, five kills and five aces in the Eagles’ 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 sweep on the road.
Jessica Hougnon added seven kills and four aces.
Heritage Christian improves to 10-6, 6-4 in District 4 play.
LYONS 3, LIBERTY COMMON 0 – The Eagles were swept 25-9, 25-11, 25-16 at home by the No. 3 Lions (2A).
Brie Crawford and Mira Gill each recorded a team-high 17 digs and Mikayla Hraban dished out 12 assists.
Liberty Common falls to 6-7 overall, 5-4 in Mile High League play.
LOVELAND 3, FOSSIL RIDGE 0 – Riley Zuhn posted a team-high 10 kills in the SaberCats’ 28-26, 25-22, 25-23 loss on the road.
Lauren Rice had 16 digs and Reagan Warner dished out 20 assists.
Fossil Ridge’s seven-match win streak is snapped. The SaberCats fall to 11-4, 7-1 FRL.
BROOMFIELD 3, POUDRE 1 – The Impalas were defeated in four sets at home, falling to the Eagles in four sets; 20-25, 25-18, 25-22, 28-26.
No individual statistics were reported. Poudre falls to 10-8, 4-4 FRL.
