Mobilink has paid tribute to Younus Khan for becoming the highest scorer in Test cricket for Pakistan. The previous record was held by Javed Miandad for a staggering 22 years.
By scoring just 19 more runs in the first innings of ongoing test match against England, Younus Khan became one of the most prolific Test cricketers to ever play for Pakistan’s national team.
The 8832 run record by Miandad was broken in Pakistan’s Test series against England. Speaking about breaking the record, Younus said:
I kept on thinking about crossing Javed bhai, the greatest batsman Pakistan had. I might not be as skilful as he was but I am feeling privileged to cross him. Due credit should also be given to him because he is the one whom I have been following and heeding his advice to make it possible.
