Offensive tackle Javon Kinlaw is ranked as the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina by the 247Sports Composite. His first of eight scholarship offers came from the Gamecocks and assistant coach Steve Spurrier Jr.
While it’s been a busy week around South Carolina football with the resignation of coach Steve Spurrier, Kinlaw got to experience his own moment when he accepted his honorary jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to Goose Creek High on Wednesday.

The 6-6, 274-pound Kinlaw remains uncommitted and the coaching change at South Carolina could impact his decision, but before he gets on the field as a college player, he will be in San Antonio on Jan. 9 for the Army All-American game.
