Dionte Mullins said getting a chance to play in the Under Armour All-American Game is a dream come true. That the game is in Florida and he will get to play in front of his mother makes it even better.
“That’s my best friend. I love her,” Mullins said Tuesday. “There’s a great connection between me and my mom.”

Mullins, a wide receiver who is ranked No. 84 in the ESPN 300, also is not planning to leave Florida for college. He is committed to the University of Miami — “I’m not going anywhere” — and said he remains solid barring a coaching change.
“Playing in front of my mom makes me comfortable and makes her comfortable,” he said. “It makes her happy.”
Mullins is eager for the Jan. 2 game in Orlando.
“I see it as a lot fun,” he said. “It’s a chance to get some good experience and there are great players there.”
