The best boys soccer team in the state was too much for Rocky Mountain on Monday, as Broomfield escaped French Field with a 1-0 victory against the Lobos.
Broomfield (11-1, 7-1 FRL) scored its only goal in the first half off the foot of senior Tyler Duggan. Classmate Porter Milner was credited with the assist.
Rocky Mountain (7-4-1, 3-4-1) had six shots on goal but couldn’t convert against Broomfield goalkeeper Michael Genge.
It was the Lobos’ second consecutive loss.
