As many of you know, Mrs. Popp is an excellent teacher and liked by numerous amounts of people at Chartiers Valley. Mrs. Popp thinks that “CV is a very nice school and I thoroughly enjoy teaching here.” She has made some great friends and has awesome students. She has three children, a senior and a sophomore in high school and a first grader. I made it my mission to get to know Mrs. Popp on a personal level and share what I found with other students and teachers. Mrs. Popp told me that she always wanted to become a teacher and went to Duquesne University for her undergraduate and California University of PA for her masters in teaching. She now teaches Trigonometry and Algebra 2 classes, but I found that before math she actually taught Spanish for her first ten years at Chartiers Valley. Also, I asked her to share some of her favorite things and those included her favorite TV show being The Middle, her favorite food is Rice Pudding from Rice To Riches in SoHo NYC, her favorite color is yellow, her favorite animal is a dolphin, and her favorite type of music is 80’s even though she enjoys a variety of others. Some things that students may not know about the wonderful Mrs. Popp is that she practices heated vinyasa yoga and can do a headstand and tripod headstand. To conclude, I am exceptionally happy that I chose Mrs. Popp to interview and being given the chance to learn all these interesting facts about her, I hope others do as well.
