CV Showband | USA Today High School Sports

As the new school year rolls on, CV Show band continues to impress with another high energy season. This year, the Show band returned with yet another amazing routine to perform during halftime and at festivals. The school year has already been jam packed full of events for the show band, as they have performed at halftime during every game and have participated in festivals. So far, they performed at our Band festival hosted right here at CV, as well as performing at South Fayette and Bethel Park. They will also be performing at West Allegheny in the near future.

This year, their performance includes a number of high energy songs that get the crowd excited. The band and drill team open up the show with the song My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark by Fallout Boy. Then the chavalettes perform in the feature to the song Burlesque. After the Charvalettes show off their impressive kick line, the entire band dances to You Can’t Stop The Beat as the majorettes are featured at the front of the field. Drill Team and Majorettes both have another feature showcase to songs Word Up and Play That Funky Music, respectively. The Show band then performs one of two numbers to close the show. One is Everybody Dance Now and the other for Uptown Funk.

As always, Mrs Jenkins and Mr Wilson cranked up the intensity of the show to a whole another  level. Every Year, they improve on the show band by adding more dancing than there was the previous year! Which is impressive considering band members must dance and play music at the same time! They were able to step up to the challenge and make the show amazing to watch for everyone. As the Mr Wilson stated, the show band is “perfection in Motion”.
