Fans have voted Male cross country runner Kaitlyn Lacy the winner of The Courier-Journal Metro Louisville Athlete of the Week Award presented by Norton Sports Health.
The sophomore recently posted a time of 18 minutes, 18.28 seconds to win the Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.
Last week’s other nominees included Trinity football’s Jailen Reed, Sacred Heart Academy volleyball’s Paige Hammons and Fern Creek football’s Lamarius Kinslow.

The Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Awards are part of The Courier-Journal Kentuckiana Sports Awards presented by Norton Sports Health, a multi-faceted program that will honor local athletes throughout the school year and that culminates with a year-end awards banquet.
