Unknown motorcyclists open indiscriminate fire on policemen during routine patrol near Dawood Public School
KARACHI: In an apparent targeted attack, at least two officials were shot dead in Karachi’s Bahadurabad area on Thursday.
According to Express News, unknown motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire on the police personnel during their routine patrol near Dawood Public School.
While the attackers managed to escape, the policemen succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
SSP East said at least four empty shells of 9MM bullets recovered from the incident site were sent to a forensic laboratory for investigation.

According to the SSP, as many as 68 police personnel have so far been killed in the continuing year.
On August 12, three policemen were killed and one injured when unknown armed men opened fire on their mobile vehicle in Korangi area of the city.
Similarly, in June, a DSP was gunned down when assailants allegedly belonging to the Swati faction of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had opened fire at his vehicle in Karachi’s Shah Latif Town.
Recently, rising incidents of firing at traffic constables had prompted the authorities to provide them with bulletproof jackets and sub-machine guns, offering some respite, but the incidents seem to have continued unabated.
