Matt Wyant scored the winner off an assist from Devin Lamb in overtime to lift the visiting Beacon High School boys soccer team over Ossining, 3-2, on Wednesday.
Lamb scored earlier in the game on an assist from Wyant. Terrel Davis also scored with an assist from Tobbie Akinwunmi.
Declan Costello made seven saves for Beacon (8-4).
“It was a really important win for us,” said coach Craig Seaman, whose Bulldogs are 2-2 in overtime games this year. “We’ve gone to overtime four times, and it was nice to get a result going our way.”
Beacon visits Arlington on Friday.
Spackenkill 9, Onteora 1 — Chris Stamper scored three goals and Giancarlo Porco had two goals and an assist to lead host Spackenkill. James Hooker added three assists as the Spartans clinched a division title.
Porco scored off a pass from Travis Klipp 1:23 into the match and Andrew Davis, off a feed from Hooker, made it 2-0 in the fifth minute. The Spartans had 30 shots on goal.
Anirudh Bhima, Nathan Ficht and Joey Guerriero each also scored for the Spartans (9-1). Ryan Espinoza made one save and Anthony Primiano had two stops.
Arlington B 7, Pawling 0 — Nik Baginski and Ethan Doughty each had two goals and an assist to lead host Arlington B. Nick Dunn, Ethan Dillon and Scott Brennan each also scored for the Admirals (8-3).
Alec Cerrato and Zach Traver combined for the shutout.
“Our defense only allowed one shot on goal and we did a good job of maintaining possession,” Admirals coach Erik Zeyher said.
The Admirals host Haldane at 4:30 p.m. Friday at LaGrange Middle School.
John Jay 4, Mahopac 3 — Nick Dillman scored the game-winner for the host Patriots in the 76th minute. Dillman also scored to tie the game in the 59th minute on an assist by Mike Ciardullo.
Kevin Turi and and Rishi Sharma also scored for John Jay (9-2-2), which hosts New Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Roy C. Ketcham 5, Carmel 0 — David Siriboe had two goals and an assist and Eddie May had a goal and two assists to lead host Ketcham (8-3). Nick Laska and Joe Tosto each added a goal, Dan Veliz and Mason Sanborn each had assist. Mike Rodriguez made one save in the shutout.
The Indians host Port Chester at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Isabelle LaBarbera and Syr Esposito each scored to lead host Red Hook over Saugerties High School, 2-1, on Wednesday.
Esposito’s goal, off a pass from Claire Dyal, put the Raiders up 2-0 in the 38th minute. Dyal lined in a corner kick and Esposito scored on a header.
Megan Jankowiak made three saves for Red Hook (12-0). Saugerties scored in the 80th minute.
“There were times when we excelled and others when we were less convincing but overall, it was another solid effort,” Red Hook coach Jason Pavlich said in a statement. “They made it interesting when they scored with under a minute to play but we were able to hang on to preserve the victory.
Franklin D. Roosevelt 1, Rondout Valley 1 — Abby Thomas scored off an assist from Lyndsey Gander in the 49th to give Roosevelt a 1-0 lead late Wednesday. Kelsie McDowell made nine saves for the Presidents (3-5-1).
New Paltz 2, Marlboro 1 — Cerissa DiValentino scored in the 77th minute to lead the host Huguenots. Jamie Meluso made seven saves in goal.
Taylor DuBois scored for the Iron Dukes (4-6), while Eliz Fino had eight saves in front of the net.
Ellenville 8, Pine Plains 0 — Goalie Cathryn Simmons made nine saves, but the visiting Bombers fell.
Arlington B 6, Pawling 0 — Alexa Peruffo scored twice and Annaliese Tucci had a goal and an assist to lead host Arlington B late Tuesday. Melanie Sarnicola, Bryn Thompson and Jackie Timm each also scored.
