BC Central (3-3) vs. Mattawan (3-3), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Mattawan has made the playoffs in three of the last four years and needs to win out to continue that success, following a 31-14 win over Loy Norrix last week. BCC is also in a must-win situation, trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008. A run-oriented offense, Mattawan’s Tristan Jones had two touchdown runs in win over Knights.

Harper Creek (3-3) vs Coldwater (6-0), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Coldwater is coming off a historic win over Jackson Lumen Christi, the first time the Cardinals beat the Titans in school history. Coldwater is undefeated and in first in the I-8 and beat Harper Creek last year for the first time in 20 seasons. Harper Creek fell short last week in a 28-25 loss to Parma Western. In the three-point loss, the Beavers failed to get an extra point, or 2-point conversion after three of their touchdowns.
Great Gridder: Bryce Martineau had nine solo tackles and five assists for Harper Creek in loss to Parma Western.
Lakeview (4-2) at Loy Norrix (1-5), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Loy Norrix has only won once this year, matching the win total in each of the last two seasons for the Knights. Lakeview has won three in a row, including a 47-0 shutout win over Kalamazoo Central. Two Spartan running back had close to 150 yards last week with Dre’On Kemp and Jay’Vion Settles leading the way.

Pennfield (2-4) at Charlotte (2-4), 7 p.m. Friday
Scouting Report: Charlotte has lost three games in a row, being outscored 105-3 in those games combined. The Orioles beat Pennfield last year in a shootout, 39-36. The Panthers ended their four-game losing streak with a dominating 55-0 win over Jackson Northwest last week five sophomore accounting for six of the Pennfield touchdowns.

St. Philip (6-0) vs Waldron (6-0), 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Scouting Report: The winner of this game will clinch a share of the Southern Michigan 8-Man Football Conference as both come in undefeated. Waldron has outscored its opponents 290-94. St. Philip has outscored its opponents 296-70. St. Philip defeated Waldron twice last year, including a 58-12 win in the playoffs. Unlike many 8-man football teams, Waldron is a run-oriented team with Tyler Winch and Jimmy Champion leading the way.
