Kaden Smith’s message about how he became an Under Armour All-American was succinct.
“Work hard. Don’t focus just on yourself. If you play for yourself, you can quit whenever you want. But if you’re playing for your team, you’ll strive through anything together.”
Smith, the No. 3 ranked tight end and No. 33 player overall, accepted his honorary jersey for the Under Armour All-America Game on Tuesday as the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to Marcus High in Flower Mound, Texas.

“It’s a great honor,” Smith said of being selected for the game. “Not many kids get invited and I got invited very early in my high school career. It feels great, looking around at some of the other players who will be there.”
Smith committed to Stanford in April and will take his official visit in January.
