Devin Duvernay posted a ridiculous time of 4.32 for the 40-yard dash at The Opening and he made highlight reel catches in 7 on 7 that had the Internet buzzing.
When it was time to put the pads on for his senior year, Duvernay began the season with 200-plus yards and a touchdown on nine receptions. He has eight TDs and nearly 800 yards through six games.
Duvernay from Saches (Texas) High hopes to get a chance to show off both his speed and skills at the Under Armour All-America Game in Florida on Jan. 2. Duvernay received his honorary jersey Wednesday when the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to his school.
“I’m looking forward to having a good time and competing with some of the best in the nation,” said Duvernay, ranked No. 52 overall and as the No. 3 wide receiver prospect in the nation by ESPN.com.

Duvernay is also working his way toward a college decision. He was at Ohio State recently for an official visit and will visit Alabama this weekend. He also plans to visit Oklahoma and Baylor. His brother Donovan is attending Baylor.
Before he graduates high school, though, he is looking to defend his Texas 6A title in the 100 meters. He won the state meet last spring with a time of 10.27 seconds.
“I just always work hard,” he said. “Dreams do come true. If you work hard enough, you will eventually get there.”
