A second member of the Ridley family will be playing in the Under Armour All-America Game.
A year after his older brother Calvin was selected, Cavin Ridley from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) will be playing in January in Orlando. Cavin received his honorary jersey Wednesday when the Selection Tour presented by American Family Insurance came to his school.
“It actually is cool that my brother played in the game last year, and I’m playing this year,” Cavin said. “It’s great to be able to ask him about practices and the game, and what to expect and how to prepare. It’s a blessing that both of us will have had the chance to live out a dream playing in the same game.”
While brothers have made the game at different times, it’s rare for it to be in consecutive years.

Calvin was ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation last year and went to Alabama out of Monarch High in Florida. He caught one pass for 28 yards in the game, his first game action in four months. Calvin played only three games because of age limitations in Florida. He turned 19 years and 9 months the day after the third game, making him ineligible to continue playing because of the state’s eligibility rules.
Ridley, a four-star receiver, remains uncommitted, although most expect him to follow his brother to Alabama. He unofficially visited campus a few weeks ago. Auburn and Tennessee also are among his favorites.
