Hey, why not try something a little different when faced with fourth down?
Escambia (Pensacola, Fla.) was faced with a fourth-and-4 and tossed to the running back Jabir Frye. With the option to pass, Frye was getting pushed to the sideline by Pine Forest (Pensacola) defenders and appeared short of the first down.
Before being shoved out of bounds, Frye lofted a pass to Seth Richardson, who caught it for a touchdown.
This result was much to the delight of the announced for Escambia.
By the way, the cool throwback uniforms worn by Pine Forest was to celebrate the school’s 40th anniversary, homecoming and the 1988 championship team. Pine Forest won the game 21-17.
