Sacred Heart’s Asia Seidt, ranked by SwimSwam.com as the No. 19 recruit in the nation in the Class of 2016, has committed to the University of Kentucky swimming program.
In national short-course rankings among 17-year-olds, Seidt is third in the 200-yard backstroke, sixth in the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley, seventh in the 100 backstroke and ninth in the 200 IM. She has qualified for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials in several events.
On the high school level, Seidt holds State Meet records in the 100 back (53.40 seconds) and 200 IM (1:58.53) and was the member of record-setting relays in the 200 medley and 400 free.
