Chris Narveson proved he could still pitch at the major league level, if given the opportunity.
The Miami Marlins promoted the 2000 Roberson alum back in early August and he picked up his third win for them Saturday — pitching one inning with two strikeouts and one allowed hit. Miami beat Philadelphia, 7-6.
Narveson, 33, was 3-1 overall with a 4.45 earned-run average and 32 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched for the Marlins (71-91).
Narveson has been in MLB since 2006 and previously played for Milwaukee and St. Louis. He was a second-round draft pick (53rd overall) out of high school.
