Through his team’s 5-0 start, Lake Stevens (Wash.) quarterback Jacob Eason continues to show why he’s among the elite quarterback recruits in the nation and why University of Georgia fans can’t wait for him to get to Athens.
His latest, according to Dawg Nation, was a 46-yard punt in a driving rainstorm in last week’s game. Oh, and he went 14-for-18 for 321 yards and four touchdowns — in the first half — of a 48-0 win.
But how about this? On the season, he’s 69-for-94 (a 73 percent completion rate) for 1,346 yards and 14 touchdowns with NO interceptions. Given Lake Stevens’ lopsided results, Eason has not been called upon to play deep into the second half too often.
Among his other highlights, a 13-for-13 night and an impressive 26-yard run (See the video below for the run; it comes after the two-minute mark.)
Eason plans to enroll at Georgia for the spring semester after he plays in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in order to take part in spring drills.
