It was an interesting week in the Super 25 high school football rankings as every Super 25 team that played won, except for St. Joseph Regional, which won in a sense by losing well to a higher-ranked team.
St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, N.J.) showed it has one of the best defenses in the country despite falling 24-12 to IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). IMG gained a couple of spots with the win, moving up from No. 11 to No. 9 while St. Joseph Regional, because of its strong showing against a higher-ranked team, improved one spot to No. 18.

Several other schools made small moves. DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, Md.) moved up a spot to No. 6. The Stags shut out St. John’s (Washington, D.C.) 40-0 Saturday as running back Anthony McFarland ran for two touchdowns. DeMatha has not been scored on for 10 consecutive quarters.
Jenks, Okla., continued to impress, moving up a spot to No. 17. Trojans quarterback Cooper Nunley completed all 12 passes he attempted for 303 yards and four touchdowns in a 63-10 defeat of Norman on Friday.
Male (Louisville) also got a bump in the rankings as it shut out Pleasure Ridge Park (Louisville) to improve a spot to No. 20 as running back Devin Gentry ran for two touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass.
