Jailen Reed rushed for three touchdowns in the first half and the Trinity High School defense posted three interceptions in the second half on its way to a 20-15 victory over rival St. Xavier on a rainy Friday night at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
Trinity – No. 3 in the state in The Courier-Journal’s Litkenhous Ratings – improved to 6-1 and took a 40-37-2 lead in the series that started in 1956.
No. 7 St. X dropped to 4-2.
