BC Central runs over Gull Lake, 28-12 | USA Today High School Sports

Battle Creek Central climbed back to the .500 mark on the season at 3-3 after a 28-12 win over Gull Lake on the road in Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference East Division football action on Friday.

The Bearcats’ DJ Watson had two touchdown to lead the way in the win for BCC, with Daireo Brown and Carlos Parks each adding scoring scampers of four yards each.

Cyntell Williams led BCC with 135 yards rushing on 11 carries with Watson adding 81 yards on 11 carries. Brandon Randle and Dallas Gillum each had nine tackles to lead the way on defense for BCC.

Gull Lake (2-4) had touchdowns on a one-yard run by quarterback Thomas Vandermolen, and a 35-yard run by Ben Kramer, who led the team with 110 yards on 25 carries.

The Blue Devils’ leading tackler was Andrew Hemminger with 11 tackles, while Brad Hall had 10 tackles, recovered a fumble, and blocked field goal.
